Judgement Day

They will judge the word along with Jesus

Jesus as the Judge
- John 5:22-27: "The Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. ... And He has given Him authority to judge because He is the Son of Man."
- Jesus is portrayed as the one who has been given the authority by God to execute judgment on humanity.
The Return of Jesus
- Matthew 24:30-31: "Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds."
- Jesus will return visibly and gloriously to gather His followers and begin the final judgment.
Separation of the Righteous and the Wicked
- Matthew 25:31-34, 41:
"When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats."- The "sheep" (righteous) will inherit eternal life, while the "goats" (wicked) will face eternal punishment.
Judgment According to Deeds
- Revelation 20:12: "And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books."
- Judgment will be based on each person's actions, but salvation is ultimately through faith in Christ.
Hope for Believers
- Romans 8:1: "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."
- Those who have faith in Jesus and accept His grace are assured of salvation and eternal life.
- 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17: "For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air."
- Believers will be united with Christ in His eternal kingdom.
Urgency to Prepare
- Matthew 24:42-44: "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. ... So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect Him."
- The Bible emphasizes the importance of living a life of faith and readiness, as the exact time of Judgment Day is unknown.
Summary

For believers, it is a day of hope, redemption, and eternal life. For others, it serves as a solemn reminder of accountability.
