Donation ideals
Darkpaw Games is launching its 2024 Extra Life fundraising campaign in support of San Diego’s Rady Children’s Hospital. Daybreak Games was named Extra Life’s Partner of the Year and attributes its fundraising successes to the generosity of its players.
To kick things off, Darkpaw Games has donated $5,000 and the developer will offer players a variety of in-game incentives in both EverQuest and EverQuest II for players to earn at each fundraising milestone.
Extra Life’s Game Day begins on November 2 and group bonuses will go live on November 5, depending on donations tallied up on November 4. Incentives players can earn include bonus exp, rare drop chance boosts, and double currency rewards. These rewards can scale depending on how much money players raise. The developer outlined specific milestones for Live, Varsoon, Zarrakon, and Origins servers. Players will need to raise $175,000 to unlock the most sought after rewards.
There are individual rewards available to players, too. Those who donate can earn a variety of titles and potions, a unique mercenary, and more.
Players looking to take part can head over to the Extra Life page to donate or help by spreading the word by sharing details on social. Donations made are tax deductible.
