As Above, So Below: The Veil of Equinox
There is a law older than time—written not in words, but in the silent balance between light and shadow.
As above, so below.
The cosmos turns, and the world beneath mirrors the heavens above. What is seen is but a reflection of what lies unseen. Every river carved through stone echoes the flow of unseen forces. Every rise of a kingdom mirrors the birth of distant stars. And every fall... a prophecy whispered between worlds.
Legends speak of the Veil of Equinox—a threshold where the two realms touch, when the sky and earth become one. It is said that on these nights, the boundary between what is and what could be grows thin, and those who walk the hidden paths might glimpse the machinery of creation turning beneath the skin of reality.
Few seek the Veil. Fewer still return.
But there are always those who hear the Call.
In the twilight of the forgotten city of Vastrimar, beneath catacombs carved from black stone, the Order of the Twofold Eye tended their ancient rites. Cloaked figures traced symbols into the dust, chanting names long erased from mortal tongues. They served neither gods nor kings—only the Balance, the silent truth that bound the cosmos.
For centuries, the Order kept the secret buried beneath their hoods: the world was a mirror fractured in two halves—the Above and the Below—and what died in one could be reborn in the other.
But the mirror was breaking.
Whispers spoke of something crossing between realms—shadows in the corner of waking dreams, bleeding through cracks in the Veil. They called it The Unspoken—a force without name, older than the Balance itself.
"As above, so below."
These were the last words carved into the walls of the sanctuary before the Order vanished, leaving only the prophecy behind.
When the twin suns align and the Veil shudders, a Seeker shall rise—one who walks both realms, bound by neither. Their footsteps will leave no mark, and their voice will echo across worlds.
But the prophecy offers no promise of salvation—only a warning:
What is brought from Below must be returned. What is stolen from Above will shatter the world.
